a UNIQUE MID-CENTURY HOME REQUIRED A REMODEL. AN IMPORTANT DETAILS WERE CAREFULLY PRESERVED AND FUNCTIONALITY AND LIGHT ADDED.

architectural faceted pulls play nicely with vaulted ceilings and overall architecture of this house.

pretty proud of this design solution. it is tricky to run cabinetry to the ceiling when the ceiling is sloped, in this home we wanted to preserve the wood as much as possible and saved an original ceiling THROUGHOUT as well.

All hard finishes have a slight green tint. soap stone countertop, cabinetry and tile all have green it it which was important as we had to tame down all that existent very warm and very orange wood. A portable island was meant not to have a personality, to be able to perform different tasks - as a working counter, as a serving cart, and as an additional storage.

This kitchen does not read off white, with the specific light that is coming out of those windows (because of the lake proximity) all blues and greens are really alive here, but nevertheless the main cabinet color is green -white and there are some areas pulled out of the blue island that feel almost off-white.

all Thermador appliances feel right in place in the precisely designed kitchen. Note how the cabinet doors above the refrigerator REPEAT the sizes of the fridge's doors to preserve the vertical lines.

A convenient bar area was a must for these clients, they ENTERTAIN often and wanted the flow between the her office/ coffee corner/ bar area

this cabinet was so tricky to design. the office is small and we needed to place a sofa in there, there was no space for the swing-doors to open. so we designed a very custom cabinet with the wine rack on the side and two sliding doors.

Small kitchens are notoriously hard to design, no room for mistake and little room for the visual interest. This little gem uses every inch available and materials elevate it to a small marvel.
